It's been a long time since I used to paint without lineart.

Made some minor changes and shaded the aerial patrol ship lineart. Also had the arms deployed :D

Started work on digitizing this soon after the original pen doodle was released in Summer 2023, but stopped on the lineart. Finally cleaned her up a few months ago, made some small adjustments, then sat again. Color was done last month and found motivation to finish her this week

@Cxnnamonpxppi yeah, typically when i clean up the sketch into finalised lineart i just color it using alpha lock or just drawing lines over the full lineart. it's a little hard to explain though, my layers are a little unorganised but here's an example of base lineart vs overlined

@GeorgeStev97360 Most methods struggle with generating normal from simple shapes of lineart. I've found through testing that Depth Anything v2 works well for these kinds of images, and I'm using depth to generate the normal. 🤔

Was suspicious, but upon further inspection, masoq905 drew these 2 mikus on the same day with different color choices, different shading choices, and different ways of doing hair lineart.

90% of work with the eyebrows I draw is the lineart. I shape them with many lines, imitating the real eyebrows. When it comes to coloring, I fill them with the main color of the hair and add a bits of lighter and darker shades🤗

I have been testing some kind of coloring without lineart because I hate lineart... I actually like doing the lineart, the truth is experimentation I guess :L
