@RivenWren I love your art. That lineweight and the expressions... *chefs kiss*
idrk what I was doing with Velma’s lineweight and stuff bc it’s not really what I usually do but here they are side by side anyways bc… size difference 🥺💖
@fosloart These are fabolous! Really liking the lineweight and the bold shadows!
If you'd like to, you may try mny disgruntled dragon man Vier!
Its coming out way better now!! Redid frieza too. My first past was just very simple lineweights as i figured out what i was drawing. This second pass I varied things up a lot
Ahahaha I have lineweight issues but whatever. I finally got around to buy Digimon Survive!!! Here's my boy
wip pics of this piece:
small thumbnail sketch > sketch > lineart (without lineweight added in yet) > coloring wip
Like with some sprites (like the first one) it feels generally pretty clean and consistent for what is essentially just an official sprite edit, but with others (like the second) there is a VERRRY clear transitional point between the old and new style, mostly in the lineweight.
the lineart here isn't clean for sure but even without that I still kinda always like my messier sketches, still kinda figuring out how to do the whole lineweight thing lol
@PhobicFunkin These are just the slightest bit outdated but !!! I can adjust lineweight n body type as needed
sometimes i do sensible warmups and practice lineweight or study figures
and sometimes i draw dumb oc bullshit instead because i am simply committed to living my best life
these were what they looked luke originally!! I made them in 2021 for some project but it eventually fell apart so they got abandoned 💀
......goodness gracious my lineweight distribution is terrible here HAHA
@ApproximateThom @PinballWitch You can just resize characters digitally these days, but that sometimes messes with the lineweight, if details get too small it can just become unreadable noise. So some productions still use distance models. Steven Universe makes liberal use of them for instance:
