Best way to learn the relation between arm, shoulder, chest and back muscles is to draw armpits, they literally connects all of those muscles together.

Anatomy is there to know where the small bumps of the bones and muscles and tendons go.
Gesture is there to turn those small subtle bumpy lines into one big swooping curve down the average path of those bumps.
