Ratitan is simply a combination of "Ratite" the family of birds that includes Ostriches, Emus, and Elephant birds(Among others) and "Titan".

Ratitan is based on Vorombe, a giant species of extinct flightless bird endemic to Madagascar.

Elephant birds are members of the extinct Aepyornithidae, enormous (& awesome!) flightless birds that once lived on the island of Madagascar. They became extinct ~1000–1200 AD, probably as a result of human activity.

Day 25 Any micro bat!

Myzopoda aurita is the only family of bats endemic to Madagascar. Also another sucker-footed bats. Love those!
I had difficult to find "micro bats". I hope I have searched correctly, if not ... Welp, we have another round bat :)

• Aloatran bamboo lemur is endemic to the shores of Lake Alaotra in northeastern Madagascar. The species is critically endangered, threatened by destruction of its habitat converted to rice fields, the pet trade and hunting.

•The pale fork-marked lemur is a nocturnal primate, which lives in the dry Western forests of Madagascar. The species is easily distinguished from the other lemurs by the fork-marked black strips that extend from the head to the back.

The Ankarana dwarf lemur is a species from the Cheirogaleus's family known only from northern Madagascar, first identified in 2014 then described in 2016.

Cool thread on the Majungasaurus from Madagascar. Known from several good specimens, its ornamented skull caused some fragments to be mistaken for a pachycephalosaur.
