I love Guy Gardner as Kara’s mentor here. I feel even though he’s not a perfect being like Superman or mystical like Martian Manhunter. His flawed humanity helps Kara to understand herself a lot more. Especially she needed this hug for awhile.

Detective Comics is big enough that it doesn't need Batman to carry it imo. This is an opportunity to introduce different, but similar, characters to readers who maybe wouldn't try them out normally. This could be someone's first introduction to Plastic Man or Manhunter.
