Edmontosaurus regalis meaning ”lizard from Edmonton” is a species of comb-crested hadrosaurid (duck-billed) dinosaur. The first Edmontosaurus regalis fossils were discovered in 1916 by George F. Sternberg, in the Horseshoe Canyon Formation along the Red Deer River

Although first discovered in 1974, it was years later in 2008 that the fossils were declared as a new species, Pachyrhinosaurus lakustai, named after founder, Al Lakusta. Unique to the Peace Region, their remains have only been found in the Pipestone Creek Bonebed
