here's karma the poochyena, milkyway's very first incarnarion. he's a bit closed off from others but very loyal to his friends. he will also hold grudges until the end of time

Let it be true that the brightest flames burn the fastest. Yet, the same could be said about some stars that glitter over the night sky like a sparkling veil, casted along lady Milkyway's arms herself. Fallen one, come hither. 1/?

This is a high-resolution map of the magnetic field, made by the Sun-orbiting Planck satellite.

Color coded, the 30-degree wide map confirms, among other things, that the Galaxy's interstellar magnetism is strongest in the central disk.
