I'm Tabbatha, I have a Bachelor's in Paleobiology and am striving for a PhD in vertebrate paleontology/ornithology! I'm also a behind-the-scenes Dino Institute volunteer at NHMLA!

Baleen whales are known for their large size, but in the past some were relatively small. Here's the Oligocene baleen whale Fucaia goedertorum, its skull and mandibles are not much larger than the extant Pacific White-Sided Dolphin
