like the morality of Mononoke is a lot more complex and the soundtrack bangs, it’s just this story in a different font, like this movie hits all the beats more concisely. nausicaa is san and ashitaka combined into a more narratively effective whole!!!

Currently (re)reading Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind by Hayao Miyazaki. Every time I take it, I fall in love with it again. It's such a masterpiece, if you haven't yet read it, read it. You'll be glad you did.
