They could of course stick to original characters like Lana and Duke, or introduce someone new. I like to think has a counter-part in a blue jacket with an 'S' on it. A cheeky Sega nod but also together they could be Joy-Cons with the 'S' standing for Switch (14/15)

On the topic of partners, I envision it like Kingdom Hearts where each Nintendo world would let you pair with that worlds hero. However, Pit would be permenant like he is in the show. I'm not sure on the 2nd partner though. Mega Man and Simon are unavailable. (12/15)

The Switch would act as a menu for the player and serve other contexts like taking video messages. It could talk, like the Game Boy did in the show, but it might be fun to have a helper character communicate through it instead. One of these maybe? (11/15)

Another change from the original is that Captain N is obv. not NES inspired anymore. He's Switch inspired. This meant I couldn't have the NES controller belt, Power Glove or NES Zapper as weapons. I had to use what the Switch can use: The Joy-Con and the dock. (6/15)

His eyes are blue though and that was done because Mario & Link's eyes are blue. He matches with Nintendo's best. Also size wise, I made him similar to Link's preportions because that was how they were both betrayed in the cartoon (5/15)
