Born Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico on Feb 4, 1896, was raised & educated in England. Severely wounded while serving as a Lt. in the British Army during WW1 - he took 11 bullets to his left leg - he made his acting debut in 1920. He moved to Hollywood in 1934. 1/4
