🇯🇵 Norakuro is a manga created by Suihō Tagawa (1931). It was used during the Second Sino-Japanese War by propaganda and was developed into tales of military exploits of the dog army against the "pigs army" (a caricature of Chinese soldiers). Here is a flag representing Nokakuro!

A Thread (1/8): Spotted on my walk to work this morning- The Kawasaki City Museum is currently holding an exhibition devoted to Norakuro, a Japanese manga series that ran from the 1930's until the 1980's. It began as a military comic promoting Japanese imperialism.
