It's been ages since I tried Oekaki, I felt 100% out of my element, despite this being what made me the digital artist I am today. In any case, here's Ryouko from the manga Over Rev! by Yamaguchi Katsumi @/mesukalu

Got the next 3 /bun/ renders done, this time with Oekaki, Jaketto & Sarina.
some more oekaki, I had fun doing these... character... things?
just trying to get back into the groove of things. bear with me 😳
QRT with some of your first digital art vs. your most recent
~2008 >>> 2021
First one I was around 13? I THINK? Maybe even younger.. my oldest art isn't dated and + is from an oekaki, I've lost any way to tell at this point
(second chara belongs to @/_niezyc + is he/him) https://t.co/q3PIrRc2vw
yeah babey
(drawn on cs oekaki, ancient technology)
new sona design, full ref soon ✌️
Going through old, OLD art to find something, and found these: the first three full pictures I ever drew on an oekaki, back in like... 2004? 2005? It got me hooked on digital art. I was so insanely proud of these 🥺 Just feelin hella nostalgic for the oekaki days tonight.
was looking at some of my oekaki drawings from 2002 (!) and this description has me rollin..
"Uhm...I was randomly sketching on an oekaki, practicing humans, and this spiffish girl emerged :E She has no name yet,but she's fun to draw and I'll find a use for her somewhere %D muhh."
2005/06: Wolves, neopets and oekaki, I still remember painstakingly using the bezier tool to try and smooth my lines, and tapering the ends with the eraser
My cursed oekaki, for anyone that wanted to see what she was inspired from ( ಠ◡ಠ )👍
