I think I got all the above elements in my story, but you'll have to be the real judge of that! It can be mighty tough fitting all you want to tell/show into the wee format of a picture book. Can the story be told properly, or is it simply not right for a picture book.#offandaway

I had a big stack of thumbnail sketches that I drew out on cue cards, full of random scenarios and image ideas. When I had time I would randomly grab a cue card and try painting the various scenes/ideas out. #offandaway #kidlit
