Did u know? It’s a dangerous world if you’re a caterpillar. If they meet up,Orange-tip b’fly larvae will eat each other,as well as their food plant & Privet Hawk-moth larvae will often fight 2 the death if their path’s cross!Who’d have thought caterpillars r so feisty. 😳🐛#MHHSBD
@BBC6Music Lovely thoughts from @NT_andybeer ; we saw out first Brimstone butterfly yesterday, along with Orange-tips and Peacocks that have survived the winter; but we're still waiting on the 1st swallows...they normally get to us on April 17th. #SciArt
Love that my garden in #Hayonwye is full of these #Orange-tip #butterflies since I planted their host plants; Dames violet, #Garlic mustard and #ladies smock. Only the males have these tips, females have black wingtips. Illustrations done for @FSCPublications and @WildlifeTrusts
