As you peeps may have noticed, I'm the one behind the #ArtemisPaleozoo's Ichthyovenator!
Our zoo's resident Ichthys are named Wendy and Athena. You'll be seeing more of these semiaquatic gals on the @ProjectPaleozoo page and in the art book itself when it's out. Stay tuned. 🐉🌊
Miragaia has the longest neck relative to its body size of all stegosaurs! This allows this armored animal to reach higher sources of food not normally accessible to other dinosaurs.
You can find our Miragaia within the Mesozoic Base Camp of the #ArtemisPaleozoo. 🌿
Everyone enjoys a good paleozoo concept, right? Well, I thought I'd introduce a project of mine that I've had for years and years - welcome to #POLARIS!
First off, any good zoo needs a good logo - here's how POLARIS' logo changed, the right is current canon.
Perks of being an #ArtemisPaleozoo keeper - visiting animals behind the scenes on your day off. Today keeper Krystal (@Doodlize) comes to see one of the zoo's ambassador species, Mononykus!

Welcome back to another What Is It Wednesday-your chance to guess the prehistoric celebrities featured at the #ArtemisPaleozoo.
Today's animal is well-preserved in the fossil record and capable of fitting in the palm of your hand. Leave your thoughts in the comments today!
At the #ArtemisPaleozoo, our animal care staff maintain routine checkups with every species across the park. This allows us to monitor and record the welfare of our animals, finding new ways to tailor their husbandry needs.

A late entry to @JoschuaKnuppe 's #paleozoo thingy! Trina has been put in charge of keeping the Psittacosaurus enclosure tidy... Inspired by me working with the goats at the @CincinnatiZoo
Btw. the #paleozoo challenge might not be the last time we work with Prehistoric Kingdom on the #paleostream!
For some time now I have the idea for a streaming format in which two people stream at the same time, one drawing an exhibit while the other one is building it in PK.
my #paleozoo submission.
---
the apalachee prehistoric museum assures its guests that the animals are happy and docile, but the walkway surrounding the mastodon exhibit has still not been repaired following damages by hurricane michael. your donations are therefore appreciated.
My entry into the #paleozoo event, Anchiornis Alley
This dug out cave houses an interactive enclosure for the small animals, that allows guests to pet and even feed the little critters
@JoschuaKnuppe started the #paleozoo hashtag, where he illustrates speculative enclosures for extinct animals. I went with the animal husbandry and thought about possible animal ambassadors. My choice was then #eurohippus . With grapes and figs as payment. #paleoart
And some more examples on how one could build enclosures for a #Paleozoo!
Keeper problems with Numidotherium, the Erlikosaurus canyon, brushing the Archaeotherium and an Stegouros underground viewing chamber.
Results from the next #Paleozoo stream.
Our little example zoo is slowly filling up.
First we did an Eryops colony, followed by the Lystrosaurus valley, of course the Gigantopithecus bamboo forest had to be a thing and we ended with the Austroraptor waterfall.
Results from the third #Paleozoo stream!
Plateosaurus Kindergarten, Wakaleo enclosure and Shringasaurus temple.
I wanted to make clear btw. that my little park here is just an example and that you don't have to use any of these animals in your submissions for the challenge.
You might have noticed that the test images for the #paleozoo challenge look very little like the JP/JW enclosures you often see. That's no mistake. I want to get this idea that dinosaur zoos have to look like brutalistic prisons out of peoples heads.
#PaleoZoo got another lawsuite today (the parents didn't win).
#oocpaleostream #Paleostreamooc #paleostream
Results from out first #Paleozoo stream! The little series that runs along side the paleo zoo server challenge! Show us your ideas for paleo zoos!
We did today an Ediacara touch tank, the Anteosaurus valley, a Drepanosaurus aviary and our own little Solnhofen lagoon.
