With Gohan (practically Piccolo's son at this point), he is very tough on him, but shows his care for him in his own way.
And then with his son's daughter, he'll look after her when necessary, just like with Piccolo and Pan.
It's weird because I usually kinda prefer the manga colors to the anime. I like Piccolo's yellow arms more than pink, Gohan and Piccolo's red sash instead of blue and Krillin actually has eyes! Plus Gohan's Purple and Orange gi and Gotens Orange and Black stick out more to me!
@roseqore @vertekins I'd like to compare it to Piccolo's eyebrows. He's been expressive without changing their shape too much. The last one is an example of an over-exaggerated expression that happened a couple times and did not became his standard shape, unlike Evan's Silver.
Have you ever noticed that the orange form of Piccolo somehow reminds of the colors of the Dragon Balls?
Especially with Piccolo's red eyes and with the red stars at Dragon Balls
Okay so I was having extremely bad luck so I switched to Gohan's banner and got my first copy of Cell plus a dupe, I returned to Piccolo's banner and got everything I wanted.

Piccolo's gi subtly gets a lower cut in the Android Saga. The gi he has today is very slightly different than the one we saw from the 23rd WT through Namek.
This lower cut gi remains to this day (albeit with a new belt when he's in Ultimate/Orange)
