Edgar Allan Poe's "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" was first published in Graham’s magazine, April 1841. Many credit as being the world's first literary detective, but that distinction actually belongs to Poe's Mr. C. Auguste Dupin: https://t.co/Oy0aM8r1IL… 📷

Some have speculated that the evil behind this 'curse' in Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Fall of the House of Usher' is a long history of incest or family inbreeding within the Usher line & that Roderick and Madeline are suffering the consequences https://t.co/GslbpCTnym

in the manga, ranpo explains his reasoning for wanting poe's help with catching the cleaner. poe only really accepts the situation after he's realized how important this is to ranpo, but the whole explanation was left out of the anime and kinda just makes poe seem like a pushover

Me autistically considering the strengths and weaknesses of fictional characters to reply to Poe's fantasy battle league thing for no reason whatsoever at 2:30am.

Obviously you can't stop Poe's Law and any satire that's more than 30 years old is going to drift dangerously away from the original context, but there's only so much the creators/well-intentioned fans of anything can do about that.

Personally I think Thousand Sons look neato.

"Berenice", Edgar Allan Poe
One of my biggest dreams as an artist is to illustrate E. A. Poe's anthology.

Peter Stone's origin was meant as a parody of 90s style overly-complicated backstories, but I found out later Longshot was also a clone of his own son. Poe's Law for 90s continuity, I suppose.

My eternal fear of talking up Liam Sharp's **massive massive guy in a world he never made** comics like G*O*T*H and Bloodshed without Poe's Law kicking in and Liam or anyone else think my enthusiasm is a gag.
