since issho is concerned about preserving the legacy of rakugo, i wonder if that incident has something to do with a time when he felt that rakugo was tainted. was it of issho's own doing? did he feel responsible for it? did it involve a disciple or a collegue?

using stories in rakugo to depict the reality is such a powerful tool used in this series. reminds me of chihayafuru–no matter how old these stories/poems are, the human experience transcends time

the little bits of kaisei we get in akanebanashi are so good. really emphasizes how amazing he is as a rakugoka and how much farther ahead he is than his peers. it just makes you want more of him and makes you look forward to an eventual showdown with him and akane
