6. Not sure, but most recently was probably Dayo from the Raybearer duology.
I have the bad habit of having the idea, starting and finishing all in the same day so none of them take that long or are that detailed. I am trying to fix that and take more time.
Black women have long written incredible fantasy novels & more are being published now than ever before! What are some of your favs? Some of ours:
Cinderella is Dead (@KalynnBayron)
Raybearer (Jordan Ifueko)
Black Girl Unlimited (@helloechobrown)
A Song Below Water (@BCMorrow)
A racist attack occurred during a virtual tour for Jordan Ifueko @jifueko and Dhonielle Clayton @brownbookworm -- protest by BUYING THEIR BOOKS! I'm ordering RAYBEARER and TINY PRETTY THINGS. Can't wait to start reading!!
Happy publication day @jifueko! #Raybearer is a stunning debut which themes loyalty and fate, and is steeped in West African traditions and mythologies ✨ 📚 https://t.co/oGMfZv4vvG @HotKeyBooksYA
@CharlieChaisson 's book cover illustrations from Jordan Ifueko's novel Raybearer on West African-inspired fantasy. Art direction by @mycoa.
Elated to have gotten to work with @jifueko and @myCOA for the cover of Jordan’s incredible novel Raybearer. The first chapter can be read here! :) https://t.co/DQpAIoCtkc
