Game 14 for the thread is the Game Boy Color version of Rayman

For an 8-bit title, it does a solid job imitating the gameplay and aesthetics of the original Rayman. In fact, I prefer this game for 2 reasons:

1. Challenge is fairer (Mr. Dark aside)
2. I don't NEED to break cages

Rayman 3 was such great platformer every other game just still cannot create anything new.

Game 3 for the thread is Rayman 3 (could you tell I'm on a Rayman kick?) for the GBA. This was my introduction to Rayman.

I've always adored the blend of Rayman 1 gameplay and Rayman 2 presentation here. It's very well done and polished, and the graphics are lush and detailed.

We honestly don’t talk enough about how badass and sinister Mr Dark was in the GBC version of Rayman.
Not only did the game gave him a proper boss battle (which inspired his Redemption incarnation), but it really made him look like the mighty evil sorcerer he was meant to be.
