Our team are making the crossing to Culla Bay in North Uist on the Isle of Benbecula.

They will be creating a portrait of Deckhand Duncan MacKinnon, one of six brothers in the family who fought in the Great War.

We've been joined by Tor Justad, Great Grand-Nephew of Walter Tull, and Provost Helen Moonie on Ayr Beach.

Second Lieutenant Walter Tull was the first black officer to command white troops and received his officer training in Ayrshire.
