Honestly a lot of triassic reptiles fit the retrosaur aesthetic.

Postosuchus looks a lot like a retro rex for example.

I actually really like tail dragging style retrosaurs in the right context.

Accurate and retrosaur couple in the winter. Juliet grows a thick coat while also making a nest for Romeo to help him during the freezing season.

I got some fellas from a couple of projects: first two are speculative evolution retrosaurs, the other two are radialmorphic aliens.

Caselli also illustrated a book called “The Amazing Fact Book of Monsters”, which for whatever reason skipped putting the word “prehistoric” in the title. The images are all what the kids call “retrosaurs”, but I think some of the coloration Caselli chose is pretty unique.

Mostly & recreating plastic dinosaur toys as convergently evolved "Lost Island" creatures. This kind of application would be great for Style xfer via involves AI in the process.

It's Desmatosuchus. A pseudosuchian archosaur that was better at the 50 retrosaur esthetic than dinosaurs ever were. (Art by Jeff Martz)

Last time we had retrosaurs in a game was The Deadly Tower Of Monsters and lemme tell you the Brontosaurs really were tough to fight. Hell the Cerato was a challange for a while aswell!

“Arctic Beasts” (2): Out in the frozen tundra these two terrible beasts, Yutyrannus and Pontolis Magnus, duel to the death. Who will win? Ray Harryhausen inspired.

I might post actual close up of the designs of each species for bygones. This includes tyrannosaurus regina (tyrant lizard queen), spinotitania, einosaurus and pyrosaurolophus. These are fun because with retrosaur stuff you can practically say screw accuracy.
