The shading used in manga is called "screentone." When manga is drawn traditionally, you buy sheets of tone and cut out the parts you want to shade using a knife and paste it onto the paper. The paper has glue on it so it sticks to the page easily. However,

Ok, I have a few pages finished for this goofy story featuring the Muscle Munchkin Alice in a struggle over cookies with a "Cookie Monster". This isn't my best art effort screentones wise, but I really enjoyed working on this.
