One thing I’ve always liked about SoKE is the character development with Jay helping Jon find trust in another person. The series starts with Jon thinking that he has to change the world on his own. Clark leaving solidifies this sense of duty he has.

At the risk of drawing the wrong kind of attention, Jay Nakamura was intentionally made out to be a shady character for the entire first arc of SoKE including and especially in the kiss, but was slowly shown to be genuine if somewhat awkward. His morally grey friends didn't help.

Detective Comics Comics, I promise you there's nothing wrong with characters saying "I'm bi".

This scene ends up being way more about Clark than Jon himself, Clark pretty much comes out in Jon's behalf, which would have been fine if this took place in Action, not SOKE.
