ok here’s the haikyuu fan making this abt haikyuu but the satisfaction concepts remind me of sakusa’s panel. if gojo believes he did everything he could within his power & still goes out thinking he could be done at any time.. maybe that’s satisfaction + reaching enlightenment
(using soukatsu’s translations): for the first time in so long gojo finally came closer to this feeling of deep empathy, satisfaction, & simply, FUN. he pitied sukuna for himself not being a good enough match for his power. nanami comments this satisfaction is what he lives for.
he certainly was humbled after toji but he had never met anyone as challenging since, so he’s still confident in his strength. he isolates himself but is less lonely bc he has ppl he cares for. so when sukuna challenges him, he comes closer to that initial satisfaction again
