The Grindylow is a creature of British folklore, that lurks in rivers, ponds and marshes, and drags children to the deepest areas of the shallows.
They're sometimes known as Jenny Greenteeth.

This week's #FolkloreThursday theme is #SeasandRivers. 'Drake’s Leat' is a watercourse flowing from Dartmoor to Plymouth. According to legend, #FrancisDrake bewitched a spring “with magical words and starting away at a gallop, the stream followed his horse’s heels into the town.”
We're so excited! 🌊🦭⛵️🧜🌊

This week’s #FolkloreThursday theme is #SeasandRivers So here are a few of the aquatic dragons I’ve worked on in recent months. The 2nd and 4th images were private commissions, the 1st and 3rd are from the new book. 🐉
Japanese printmakers of ukiyo-e were fascinated by waves. In a different image to the classic wave Koga Kano shows the divers looking out at the wild churning rocky sea, watching the changing water-hills of the land of luck. #SeasandRivers #folklorethursday
