Painting titled Endurance after the ship of Shakleton’s fateful arctic expedition. Sparse composition and cold colours evoke the classic image of the mast protruding resolutely from the ice as ship is slowly engulfed. Despite the tragedy all 27 of the crew survived.

So pleased to see Raymond Priestley's Kodak camera! Here he is in 1914 in a club photo standing behind Professor McKenny Hughes & next to Gertrude Elles, & on a trip to Dolywern. He was 28 & had already been to Antarctica with Shakleton & Scott.
