I'm here for these threads cause I enjoyed Simoun a lot when I was younger (I rented it back in College) and hearing the perspectives/brainworms on it for meaning/worldbuilding (accidental or not) etc. from the best to the most problematic is fascinating now that I'm older.

Interesting combination of a military story w/classic shoujo anime elements & aesthetics. CGI was less charming than Stellvia but the Shichirō Kobayashi art direction and backgrounds are fantastic with many postcard memories abound. I liked it a lot. Wauf is cool. AERU!

there is a lot to say bout this show and not a lot of character space so ill try my best. a messy but incredibly heartfelt, chaotic show thats ultimately about choice, roles, expectations, growin up, love, beliefs nd gender. p much didnt know what to expect...
