Times are tough in Six Ages: Lights Going Out, but the goat people still live to the north.

We’re still busy writing, drawing, and testing the next game!

If you like saving Goods or Cows, there’s no better time to get the Glorantha Bundle on Steam https://t.co/HEm2hQRWjJ — get and and save enough to throw a feast for your clan (you can also get an App Store bundle https://t.co/PFPV7OkHmd)

We’re spending a lot of time polishing advice for the next game (Six Ages: Lights Going Out), so the development blog talks about what goes into advice. https://t.co/4QWD1K1AwY

Want to know all about rituals in lyreofsheliak has just posted two more guides: Nyalda Marriage Maker (https://t.co/IrBjZZvRaL) and Inilla Forage Finder (https://t.co/zGD2k87d1a)

“Ride Like the Wind” is currently 25% off on Steam, but the sale ends tomorrow, 5 January. Check out the spiritual successor to the storytelling strategy game King of Dragon Pass!

tip: If you’ve played King of Dragon Pass, Six Ages will feel familiar. But not everything works identically (you’re playing a different story with a different clan).

tip: Normally the most-qualified circle member’s skill will be tested to see if your response succeeds. But they’re more than just your pawns, so occasionally a character won’t act on your behalf. (This happens even more in the next game, “Lights Going Out.”)

tip: Having trouble keeping your clan fed? You aren’t the first bronze age society to have that problem! Plus, the world grows colder. You do have the aid of the goddesses. There are a number of blessings that can help, as well as Sacred Time magic.

tip: Although nothing is certain, you have many ways of influencing the odds. The context of a decision can suggest an easier choice. Larger gifts or sacrifices improve your chances. And better-skilled circle members succeed more often.

tip: At the start of the game, your clan won’t be able to feed itself. Two possible answers are to send distant foraging parties, or to ask the goddesses for help (sacrificing for knowledge of their magic, then building shrines).

tip: Not every consequence is immediately visible. Your advisors don’t really know in detail what other clans think of you. Some events may take a while to set into motion. Or maybe you dodged a flaming arrow, and AVOIDED a negative repercussion!

Been more or less splitting my time between various tasks needed to release “Ride Like the Wind” on Windows and Mac (like making sure the manual says “click” rather than “tap”), and working on the next chapter, “Lights Going Out.” The teams are doing great work on both!

We just updated the game to version 1.0.8 on the App Store. Our development blog https://t.co/uuO1NRqN1n talks about how working on a sequel and a port impacted the original

tip: You produce food on a seasonal basis (Earth season harvest is big). Your advisors take this into account, so refer to them as well as the current stockpile (running low in Fire season isn’t alarming).

tip: Dialogs sort by a single skill. Your leader may need to use more than one, and their religion and personality can matter. The default choice will be good (often taking multiple skills into account), but you might have reasons to pick another leader.
