Draugr, striga, ghoul, zombie, upiór, yōkai... Every part of the human world has its folklore version of the dead returning through the veil, changed, driven by ire and hunger.

So many deny thousands of years worth of accounts of it happening, believing death is a one way path.

I just realised I never posted that one art I did for my university - a guy partly changed into Striga, who's now a warrior dommed to kill monsters that he will sooner or later become himself.
The title of the work was "Corpse of Striga". Could look better, but I'm still proud.

Helllooooooo Striga, I love you, you stunning woman. This is awesome &I gotta give major love to the skull wine glasses, love that touch and the peek at her stockings because I love the mix of femininity in there. We all know it was a gift from her wife & we love to see it!

L'un des enseignements que ma apprit Pierre Bottero est; "Les cheveux long sa s'attrape"
Donc quand je vois Striga, vampire guerrière avec des cheveux très long, je me dis que c'est une belle idée de merde 😒

In Romanian mythology, Strigoi are spirits that transform into an animal, become invisible, and to gain vitality from the blood of their victims. Strigoi possibly originated from the Latin terms strix and striga, the root of which later has been related to owls

First draft! In case anyone was wondering, there was a body attached to the disembodied breasts earlier. This is the protagonist for Almastriga, Jane. I think her portrait is intended to change depending on her gear.
