15 July 1932. The prototype low-wing monoplane Vickers Type 171 Jockey was lost during spinning trials at Martlesham Heath when it entered a flat spin and crashed at Woodbridge, Suffolk. The pilot successfully bailed out at 5,000 feet.

A pair of 15c censing surviving fragments from former crucifixion scenes at Wood Ditton, Cambridgeshire and Nowton, Suffolk. Both of these angels are likely reset incorrectly, in the wrong orientation.

'Poem, Strange November.' (1953) Alan Reynolds's romantic landscapes of the 1950s perhaps owe more to Samuel Palmer's Kent than to the flat Constable country of his native Suffolk. The spiky botany of the foregrounds carried a faintly menacing air generic to much 1950s art.

Ufford & Sudbury, Suffolk. R.G., Vetusta Monumenta (1791) vol. 3, pl. XXV, pl. 25. Artist omited rope/pulley of counter-weight that pulled up the central iron rod & the “dark blue curtain” which covered all (still in 1825 print) + details cover now.

A little, later jet object, recovered from excavations in It's of uncertain function - it could be a spindlewhorl, but jet was frequently used by the Romans for producing jewellery, so it's also possible the object was intended for use as a pendant.
