8 years ago today, June 24, 2011, Cars 2 was released. I fully enjoyed the spy themed movie, and especially loved the opening scene. The film was released with the short film Hawaiian Vacation, the first of the Toy Story Toons series.

7 years ago today, June 24, 2011, Cars 2 sped into theaters. While the film didn't click with critics it still did well, bringing in well over half a billion dollars worldwide. I thoroughly enjoyed it and think the opening oil rig scene is one of Pixar's best.
