@Truegreen7 Here's two from my Appalachian-based region. First is Malevoleye, a rock/psychic evolution to the regional variant of Sableye inspired by colored agate deposits and the Flatwoods Monster cryptid. Second is Scuttock, a ghost/dark mythical based on the old folk tale of Tailypo.
Thinking about the first time I saw a Fisher and realized that's what the tailypo is
Amazing what a spooky tale can do to awaken your inner child . Tales told by torchlight under the covers hold long in the memory . The Tailypo is one such tale . Enjoy and let the memories flood back . @FolkloreThurs #folklorethursday

A twisted terrifying tale of a caustic cryptic creature whose pride was pierced by a Hunter in the American woods . Everyone knows that a bushy tail is best bit of clothing for any Beast . Enjoy the tale of the Tailypo #folklorethursday @FolkloreThurs

@korybing Tailypo!!! He’s a cryptid from Appalachia- a hunter shot off his tail and now he hunts down and kills anyone in his woods, looking for his lost tail
I never see anyone talking about him and it makes me so sad!!
WOW I don't know that I've ever heard about Tailypo anywhere else. I remember hearing this story when I was a little kid. It's why I call my cat Rusty "Po", short for Tailypo, because in the dark all you see are her big yellow eyes.
Tailypo is a popular game streamer on the platform Lookit. He calls his fans 'Baecorns' and is known for his friendly, wholesome content. He avoids 'drama' and likes to start every stream with his 'Daily Positivity Chestnut' - a thought to bring good vibes.
Welcome to the campfire for #FolkloreThursday y'all. This week we have the scary Appalachian folktale of the Tailypo 🧵
The tailypo gave me nightmares as a kid. Imagine this thing killing your pets off one by one throughout the night, asking for it's tail back, it's voice getting louder as it gets closer, until it's in the same room as you.
So many people have tried their damndest to draw fearsome, intimidating Tailypos, but no one has ever made them scarier than Paul Galdone did in those kid’s book illustrations.
@whitefoxthewhit Ive never heard of or seen a drawing of a tailypo so i improvised based no the story
@StradomyreArt Day four, monkey.
My mom asked for a monkey with cymbals trying to make Tailypo and Nova hug.
Not even kidding, she's been asking for updates on it.
