Muhammad Ben Ali ar-Ribati (1861-1939) Moroccan painters. Born in Rabat, based in Tangier and supported by European artists. In 1903 became a cook 4 the Irish painter Sir John Lavery, who 1st settled in Morocco in 1890. Lavery noticed that Ribati was a gifted watercolor painter.

Only 30 of them managed to escape, the English corpses and Governor Rutherford were mutilated.
