Tylosaurus nepaeolicus is the middle child of tylosaur from the Smoky Hill Chalk of Kansas. It is middle in body size, stratigraphic distribution, and phylogenetic placement - sandwiched between T. prorigor (big boi) and T. kansasensis.

I haven't seen much in the way of original Tylosaurus specimens (not in Kansas or the East Coast 💀), but I do have my alternatives...
