As Gen 8 draws to a close, was this the most powerful Gen we've ever seen in terms of new species? Galar gave us some truly monstrous Pokémon across multiple competitive formats (see also Dracovish, Dragapult, Rillaboom, Corviknight, Calyrex, Urshifu, Eternatus...).

Kubfu and Urshifu are fighting type legendary pokémon in Pokémon Sword and Shield’s DLC expansion pack. Depending on where Kubfu is trained, it will either evolve into a fighting/dark Urshifu, or a fighting/water Urshifu.

I may not like the games (not fully) but i will lie if i will say that i hate the Gen8 design. Urshifu, Drednaw, Boltund, Corviknight and Arctozolt are my favorite Galar Pokemon.

I think a Pokémon just makes sense at this point since Sakurai and Gamefreak have always capitalized on the opportunity to include a Pokémon from the latest games. I think It would likely be Zacian, Urshifu, or, one of the fully evolved starters (I personally want Cinderace).
My predictions for potential Smash Bros characters revealed tomorrow:
Urshifu, Grimmsnarl, Toxtricity or Rillaboom.

If it's not any of the 2, then Kubfu would be pretty cool. I bet they might go with this if they want to add a Pokemon Rep to advertise the SwSh Expansion Pass, or DLC. They might also go with Urshifu, but I prefer Kubfu, design wise... I just want Super Mystery Dungeon music...
