Wondering if Trevor's basis was used around WW1...looking into it, no, was built 1927..
Which makes me think, that if Trevor was built in the late 20s, and the event's of Edward's Book take place in 1952...then that would only make him at least 25 years old.
Reviewing these etchings from Otto Dix during and post WW1. It’s unbelievable and horrifying. https://t.co/UrD2B55De2
Remembrance day
Me, Jacob and i finally reavel the my OC Corgi name is Albert. we respect the army from WW1.
#OttomanEmpire #Map November 1, 1922 - 100 Years ago #OTD, the Ottoman Empire ends post WW1... Founded in 1299 AD by namesake Osman I, it quickly spread across Anatolia, conquered #Byzantium and Constantinople and so much more. The apex was under #Suleiman the Magnificent.
5 October 1918. French aviator, Roland Garros (aged 29), was killed when his plane was shot down near Vouziers, Ardennes, during WW1. He was the first person to fly a plane across the Mediterranean. The French Open Tennis complex and championships are named in his honour.
Luv me some #HarlemHellFighters. I'd read a comic with them & some French Snipers fighting against Vampires & Werewolves or something in WW1. The Big Two would never make that book. Maybe #Comicsgate or #Rippaverse can.
From "Shtetl, My Destroyed Home: A Remembrance" (1922), a set of 30 lithographs by the Jewish artist Issachar Ber Ryback. In the series Ryback depicts scenes from his home village in Ukraine before it was destroyed in the pogroms following WW1. More here: https://t.co/qJkYdfBj27
@adniel_ssj No se si podre participar, pero intentarlo no daña a nadie...no?
Bueno pues este es mi OC, peliroja, traje estilo pingüino y mascara de gas estilo WW1.
(El dibujo de al medio es una comision de yuki)
Numerous motifs re-appear in propaganda posters. Usually with spiders or octopuses as caricature of a nation. I guess history is a flat circle & imperialists like to copy each other.
Here are examples of ones from WW2 (Axis Anti-British + Allies Anti-Nazi), Red Scare, WW1.
Each witch is chosen into a class ,by Miss Gunn's talking hat whose been "alive" since ww1. Each class is directed by a teacher, but miss Gunn disciplinary action is extended towards all classes. Each class carries their own unique spells, familiar, and means of travel
Heroes of the Great War.
Marvel’s Freedom’s Five from WW1. Other than Phantom Eagle’s one-shot, there are very few panels of this team. I could imagine a short run of Freedom’s Five being interesting.
Quick doodle of Ernest. Since this takes place in the 1930's and Ernest is the oldest of the group it was pretty much inevitable that he ended up in WW1.
I made this image while researching the horrific and marvelous medical advances during WW1. I planned on adding a facial prosthetic item to Brutal Orchestra but could never figure out what it would do. I'd love to hear ideas, who knows maybe it will make it into a future update.
"Production of KK bread" Postcard with wheel, France, WW1. It satirizes the supposed poor quality of German KK bread, which can be pronounced 'caca' in French meaning 'shit'
Envelopes painted by Alfred crisp, containing letters sent to his daughters.
Alfred, a fire watcher in East Dulwich, had poor health due to being gassed at Ypres WW1. His envelopes were all kept and are now preserved in our archive.

Unknown Austro-Hungarian soldier, WW1. Another flea market find.
'Rough Sea.' (1917) Bouts of rheumatic fever and shell-shock shortened Christopher Nevinson's time at the Front in WW1. A reviewer heralded Nevinson as the first British artist to give 'really profound and pictorial expression to the emotions aroused by war.'
