First to the chopping block!
Magnolia Halspen (made 2018?)
Her whole thing is that she's from the 40s and worked at a military hospital during WW2. It got burned down by enemy soldiers and she now haunts the ground where she died.

So that tends to be my personal working definition of pulp: the agressive application of modern marketing techniques to the publication of genre fiction.

And the nice thing about that definition is that it also covers the huge change in pulp publishing after WW2.

the writers on gaogaigar were like "we need train-themed enemies because one of gaogaigar's components is a bullet train" and some genius was like "what if one of the zonders absorbed the actual fucking gustav railway gun from ww2. just stick a robot head on the barrel"

I am just now discovering that Jae Lee did the art on a Transformers/GI Joe mini set in WW2.

To say I need it would be an understatement.

🧵Some ideas for Indiana Jones plots and McGuffens, they'd either have to be a video game or should've been Indy 4 if it was made in the 90s: Imperial Japan is trying to find the Sessho-seki (the real one having been hidden) to free & control Tamamo-no-mae to help win WW2.

A 🧵about our financial system history, current state and future predictions.
1920's: Shit was loose. Loose monetary policies lead to speculation and a massive bubble formed and popped. This probably caused WW2. 🧵👇
TLDR: It's Gonna get rough.

She was part of Katie's unit, along with Charolate, and fought using her magic, skills, and a modified futuristic sniper rifle.

Sometimes I just think about the fact that there is a comic that exists of a bunch of queer women (and like 3 straight women) in pin-up costumes fight giant Nazi mechs and weird corpse monsters during WW2.

God damn it, I miss Bombshells. I mean, Vixen stole Hitler's dog.

Watched COME AND SEE (1985), about the massacres in Byelorussia at the hands of the Nazis during WW2. It is a hard and emotional film to watch but it's also very good. If you feel you can stomach it definitely watch it, I can see why it garners so much praise.

Super weird to see this now. This is like the biggest territorial dispute Europe has had since WW2.
