# wip

As long as it lives in the hearts of the faithful, will never die! And you gotta finish that man, because I want to read it so bad that I already know I want to watch the adaptation afterwards.

D11: played straight? Haven't seen Re:Zero, so I'll go with Rising of the Shield Hero, because I stuck with it the longest. Though it's honestly a 7/10 series at its strongest. Interesting frame, cool visuals, some semblance of character development...but I dunno man.

WriteAnime D1: My Seiyū Dream Team

Sevardin - Unshō Ishizuka (Jet Black)
Alinore - Hitomi Nabatame (Nanao Ise)
Hace - Masakazu Morita (Ichigo Kurosaki)

These characters also gives you an inkling idea of their character dynamic.

D27: RELICTION dives into the local folklore of the Erician (North American) First People who live in a reservation just north of Arroyo. Truth be told, I'm still researching and developing it. Incidentally, if anyone can recommend sources on Native American myths.... https://t.co/Pi57S6HhOC

D27: I'm gonna stop bitching about Bleach for 5 minutes and call out Eden of the East instead. Super intriguing set-up and cool ideas that quickly fizzled into shallow, semi-coherent political commentary. Maybe it just translated poorly, but plot seemed to go nowhere.

D24: I'm going to tag Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood again for this one. There are a few songs featuring choral accompaniment, but the overwhelming majority of the score is just classical instruments. As for my An acoustic guitar has the right feel and range.

D17: At opposite ends of the emotional spectrum, I am once again calling out Haikyuu and Violet Evergarden. The former is usually pure, inspiring joy, interspersed with moments of heartbreaking defeat, while VE is tragic catharsis reified in anime form.

D4: My own book is contemporary urban fantasy murder mystery with strong cop drama influences. But the world is informed by a fairly robust alternate history to account for the presence of magic, the Amagium, etc., and there are some other light sci-fi flourishes.

D4: I know I beat this drum all the damn time, but Bleach was at its best when Ichigo had to balance the grim reaper shtick and high school. Similarly, Fullmetal Alchemist slayed it with its European WW1 setting, steampunk technology, and carefully ruled magic system.

D1: I’m Jay, glad to be here again. My wip combines the brooding backdrop and muted bleakness of Ergo Proxy, the callous transhumanism of Ghost in the Shell, and the retrofuture attitude of Cyber City OEDO.

Day 31: The Titans (Attack on Titan) are brutal and unique. Their often-ridiculous appearance and awkward movement only adds to the horror factor.

D28: Going with Gundam Wing again. Heero and Zechs had an interesting dynamic. Both were skilled and principled, but the Bad Guy upheld a status quo he saw as a necessary evil, while the Good Guy was cold, ruthless, and willing to do almost anything to dismantle it.

D22: In terms of sheer gear-heads, I was very fond of Nami in Full Metal Panic (wish they did more with her character). If we broaden the category to include engineers, Dr. J from Gundam Wing was a cool, eccentric mentor type. Sevardin is the best mechanic in my

D15II: When it comes to hunters? I have to go with Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades, and Alucard from Netflix's Castlevania. Sure, it wasn't produced in Japan, but the creators have repeatedly stated their inspiration was classic 90s anime, and I think they nailed it.

D10II: I cannot confirm whether advanced Monstrum & Malfeasance units have car-sized, Gyve-fueled artifice armor suits... or if the Amagium has battalions of said units ferreted away in case of magical war... But if they did, they might look like these bois here.

D10: This prompt is kind of samey, so here are some mechaesthetics I adore—OTHER than Gundam:

1. Magitek Armor: Fantasy Steampunk (FFVI)
2. Arm Slaves: Military Future (Full Metal Panic)
3. Eva Units: Horror/Biological (Neon Genesis Evangelion)

Name others you like!

Day 8: DESIGNATED NEWTYPE
Do you have a favorite mecha pilot? Select a character from your to put in a mech cockpit.

D7: I've got a lot of faves:

Nekomata: Many-tailed necromancer cat.

Kasa Obake: Immobilizing umbrella ghost.

Okiku: A murdered maiden with a neck made out of plates.

Kappa: prankster lizard-turtles with water bowl pates.

Japanese horror be delightfully weird!

D5II: Induced chimeras are created by magical rituals and experimentation that is ethically dubious at its absolute sunniest, following the examples set by Fullmetal Alchemist. (Souls are the problem, but I'm not going into the nitty-gritty unless people are curious.)

Not really what I enjoy watching, I prefer screwball *moments* more than a whole series. Though "The Irresponsible Captain Tyler" and "Tenchi Muyo" probably comes the closest.
