This was my first actual animated cleanup test. Thanks to Nick for the lovely animation. I BELIEVE this was the final line brush I created for the project. You can also see the very early test of the "sketchy" xerox lines in practice. Toned down the paint a bit and added texture.

funfact: for this toon i did something similar to the xerox process, basically not doing lineart and painting over the rough animation, mainly to save time

Most people don't like the rough xerox method of animation that Disney used throughout the 60s and 70s, but I actually really like it because it’s like experiencing the animator’s personal drawings in motion. Smooth lines are overrated.
