👹ONI'S QUEST Pt.1👹
The Isle of Geoda, a mystical place where humans live in harmony with all manner of kami and yōkai.
That is until one day when an interdimensional rift opened and the Worlokk of the Void arrived, infecting the creatures of Geoda with a terrible curse...
Draugr, striga, ghoul, zombie, upiór, yōkai... Every part of the human world has its folklore version of the dead returning through the veil, changed, driven by ire and hunger.
So many deny thousands of years worth of accounts of it happening, believing death is a one way path.
Today's #Skatober theme is "Yōkai." I had never drawn a Yōkai before, so I tried my hand at Ōgama, a toad who carries a spear and exhales rainbows.
Then I had to make him fit Skatober, so I gave him an @eichlers__ shirt. I guess he's now Hyper-Skama.
@supercoolnstuff
@satorislvr Her ref sheet is old but still rather accurate!
Shes from a practically extinct species of Yōkai.
🆕🇯🇵'Hyakki Yakou to Goengumi - Ayakashi Hotel no Keiyaku Fuufu' #1 de @Hanaou_twi y @masatomaki. Ayane (27) ve como su vida pega un giro cuando la despiden y acaba prometida con el heredero de un prestigioso grupo hotelero que resulta ser un yōkai. Comic Bridge/Kadokawa.
@Mat4265 Very old drawing, but here’s a split evolution line based on fire-themed yōkai.
"The waira is a rare and reclusive yōkai... It is an ugly beast with a large body similar to that of a cow but with a single, sharp claw on each of its four long limbs." - https://t.co/51RxGu308q
Rokurokubi (ろくろ首) are a type of yōkai. During the day they look like ordinary women, while at night they acquire the ability to stretch their neck. They are generally not aggressive towards humans. They often do not resist the temptation to use their powers to spy on people.

Samura is a series of connected short stories about a human who travels through a fantastic city of yōkai. Although there are elements of violence and horror, many of the encounters are gentle and poetic, and @2964_KO's full-color artwork turns every page into a dynamic painting.
#Inktober #yokaitober 28 : #Furaribi #

Sospiro. 🌹
