Salimgarh Fort & the Red Fort, Delhi~1836 ©V&A Museum.

The bridge connecting the two is the Mangi / Mansi Bridge.

Emperor Jahangir had constructed it in 1626 AD to access Salimgarh from Yamuna bank long before the Red Fort was constructed.

Ruins of Firozabad built by Firoz Shah Tughlaq. The fort had secret safe tunnels that connected it to Meherauli, Yamuna river bank and the ridge area. It also had numerous serais on the way providing camels and horses at standard prize!
