The kanji on Izumo's shirt is 上 (Jou), meaning Above. Izumo's last name Rikujou contains the kanji Riku (陸 Land) and 上 (Above) or Land Above. His sword, the Sakkai- Zankijoushin's name (殺界 • 斬鬼上神) also has kanji for Above within it.

Zankan Ressou

Izumo's prosthetic gauntlets that replaced his original arms which were blown off by his first time use of the Granddamm as a child. As a kid, the Zankan Ressou was his primary weapon to fight back before his mentor Kuzunoha gave him the Sakkai-Zankijoushin.

The main weapon of Izumo the Highlander that was created for him by his mentor Kuzunoha Hyakki. The bandage-like bands of the Sakkai-Zankijoushin were created from a special alloy that can temporarily withstand the destructive powers of his Granddamm.
