I didn't know Leviathan made it to the arcades.
I only knew it from the C64. It's a pretty game. If only they'd stuck with the same control system as Zaxxon, it would have been excellent fun. But making the ship turn makes it impossible to manoeuvre and shoot simultaneously. 😐

Viewpoint. It's a fun (and hard💦) shmup kinda similar to Zaxxon and has one of the catchiest soundtracks I've even heard.

People who haven't played it shouldn't look at it an think it's just a WW1 Zaxxon game. Blue Max has a whole different feel to the gameplay. Somewhere in that sweet spot between River Raid and Zaxxon. Or something like that. 😁
