If anything, speaking from experience, making a flat render in pixel art can be EVEN MORE TIME CONSUMING considering I have to check:
-no pixel is misaligned
-clean-up the outlines
-close up gaps
-make smooth curves
-do _manual_ antialiasing in cases.
- etc.
Pxl ain't fast.
turn off antialiasing and draw on a rlly tiny canvas with a big chunk brush its good for the soul :)

@Volcaberg I only use antialiasing if I'm forced to (also yes that makes sense :))!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
@OurpleB3Varoon i have no antialiasing examples for regular art because i animate specifically in firealpaca but theres this (this is an example)
Andaba bien aburrido y me dió está idea de fanart, así que hice otro pixel art para @ProphecyxOffic versión brawler! Le dí antialiasing y me sorprendí bastante con el resultado final. Así que espero que te guste! <3

it's my personalized hell in challenge form, dubbed october! the first day is draw with antialiasing, so I redrew an old piece of mine from last year!
I wish I had more progress shots to show off but pixel art goes pretty fast for me at this stage. Unlike a normal digital piece where you'd show a sketch or lineart, it can be hard to tell what pixel art will look like when finished, so I add colors and even some antialiasing...
i had to just screenshot the image while it was still in aseprite i dont think you actually can turn off the auto antialiasing anyway these are my lil dudes the one on the left is made to look like me
Emotes from today's stream + the ones I already had before (for good measure). I draw them with little antialiasing purposefully.

I have found the best procreate brush (almost no antialiasing)
