In Mesopotamian the Asipû were wizards & the the Barû were soothsayers. Declaring divine will through signs, omens & astrology. The Asipû performed apotropaic  while the Barû performed divination by reading messages upon the entrails of animals.

Martinia Annua is a Central American plant with interesting-looking seeds. It is now used in Thailand for making charms (gilded & immersed in oil), as these seeds resemble Hindu / Buddhist / Jain mythological creature Garuda.

The flying phallus is a common apotropaic symbol in both ancient Greece and ancient Rome. I can't really comment on the significance of the wings since there are enough unwinged phalloi used in the same way. But here is a selection of the winged ones:
