The Arambourgiania oc of mines from earlier. Now with accessories, colors, and a slightly updated design. She still doesn’t have a name yet and the brown might be swapped with something else.
@dombrasted @JoshuaTedder3 @macdoin @soapachu @katynotie If you really wanna blow his mind, you could show him a picture of Pterodaustro, or any azhdarchid for that matter. Here's an Arambourgiania compared to a t.rex :)
@Twtzaupdates this is the arambourgiania and it was one of the largest pterosaurs and may have had a wingspan of up to 13 meters. also they're like. missing 1/3 of the one bone they have for it
Just finished this Arambourgiania for a commission! My first Fracas commission as well! The inspiration came from a marabou stork, hornbill, and a custom color scheme. Posing was set to show off the pattern.

Pterosaur of the day!
Quetzalcoatlus northropi is a species of large azdarchid pterosaur from late Cretaceous North America. It is among the largest animals to ever fly, only outsized by other large azdarchids like arambourgiania

Slenderman -> Arambourgiania
-not actually part of the group
-Tall/lanky
- genuinely unsettling to look at.
Here we have a giraffe sized predator, the Arambourgiania. Imagine a giraffe being able to soar.

@Re2aboy That’s true, but compare it to the monster neck of an Azhdarchid like Arambourgiania, the biggest living thing to ever fly. (Art by @paleobyliam
Arambourgiania philadelphiae fue un enorme pterosaurio de la familia Azhdarchidae que vivió durante el Cretácico tardío. Su envergadura alar llegaba a los 10m y su cuello medía unos 3m. Recreaciones de @MarkWitton

Just finished Arambourgiania, the other end of the azhdarchid ecological and morphological spectrum opposite Hatzegopteryx. It may look ungainly, but keep in mind that head is a lot lighter than it looks.
The BBC has just written a whole article about the giant pterosaur Arambourgiania, inspired by my blog post from a few years back: "The winged giant that was bigger than T. Rex" https://t.co/qsyINteWiU. Features comments and #paleoart from me, and additional input from @aeroevo.
To celebrate #WorldGiraffeDay, here's me in my day job as Human Scalebar, with a record-breaking giraffe and a couple of pterosaur friends (Arambourgiania philadelphiae and Hatzegopteryx thambema). And yes, giraffes can get that big! Image by @MarkWitton

For #FossilFriday: a rarely seen comparison between giant azhdarchid pterosaurs and a large male giraffe (yes, they can get this big!). Pterosaurs are Arambourgiania (left) and Hatzegopteryx - slender and robust takes on the giant azhdarchid bauplan. @Gizz47 is the scale bar.
New blog post: we must talk about Arambourgiania, lesser-seen giant #azhdarchid #pterosaur. https://t.co/ukF6xMkSqj
