The dwarven armourer swore on his beard that this armour is the pinnacle of defensive technology.
🇩🇪 High Gothic armour of the late 15th CE has long been considered the supreme achievement of the armourer’s art, epitomising the ‘knight in shining armour’.
According to tradition, the armour originally belonged to prince Waldemar VI of Anhalt Zerbst/Köthen (1450-1508).
The harness is inspired by the so-called gothic style of the very late 15th c., as perfected by Lorenz Helmschmid who was the emperor's master armourer in Augsburg.
KHM A62 (which has recently been updated by the museum) is one of the most flamboyant examples of his production.
the armourer: are you trained in the rising phoenix?
din, brain damaged: uhhhh.... yes?

This beautiful 500year old suit of armour was worn in battle by emperor Maximilian I. It was commissioned by him at 18, receipt of payment to the armourer still survives and cost the modern equivalent of millions. The rise of gunpowder would soon make these useless.
@WithAseprite No.12: Junk Armourer!
Another #3bit #pixelart octobit #catgirl!
The geometry in this one is less messy than the previous cat I think, although the pose is less interesting..
She has more equipment too, though a bit less clothing. <_<;

Mid 15th cent Italian greaves. I enjoy making greaves. Increasing my respect for medieval armourers with each pair.
