my “default” drawing style has a very childish/youthful (?) look. Most of my drafts look like this. I have to redraw the face many times to get the right “maturity”… this is kind of an insecurity of mine 👉👈

Bit of a artist confession, but my sketches and line art are basically the same. I don't know if this is good or bad, I just wanted to share.

Yesterday I painted something I liked. Today I hate all my work again. It makes it hard to post a portfolio when I'm constantly trying to make better pieces. Have a look anyway!

Pixel images scream at my eyes.
I just want to get an airbrush and eraser and smooth it all out. Maybe take a fine tip marker and fill in the details. There, that's better.

Nothing makes me happier than a client commissioning me for a style I am still learning, and they have the patience of a saint.

How artists draw...

*panic intensifies*

- Trying to do Stylized Art - (Kinda like Joe Mad) AND sometimes end up "tweaking" the anatomy to be "correct".
- I love many kinds of art styles, even if it's not dark-edgy.
- Still struggling to be confident with Digital Lineart/Style. Traditional is good.

Heres a $10 off coupon you can use on RedBubble to buy some of my art! Support me so I can afford booths at cons? 😊😅 https://t.co/rqHbx0GVSJ

I felt particularly down today so I thought a new self portrait was in order. Good thing is I’m very much getting over a person. It’s the loneliness and boredom.

- my sketches are like this, and I think they’re often much better than the finals

🎨
-My pacing for content creation is really off
- I sometimes worry about being too experimental/not developing a consistent “style”
-I still struggle with hands/feet
-Backgrounds? I don’t know her 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’ll be honest.

-drawing over my rough sketch to lineart is sometimes a chore...

-still have a hard time thinking of backgrounds

-sometimes lazy to name my layers

-I don’t know why I like to draw at night time then day time?

2008 me had no idea how to dudes.
2019 still has no idea but I now know a few more secrets.

I can spend countless hours and pour loads of effort and love into a piece, but my silly 30 min meme tributes always do 200x better in terms of likes, retweets, and comments.

I don't actually use a pen when I draw digitally, I use my finger.

I have a pen that I COULD use, but it's kinda jittery, and it goes through batteries, extremely quickly.
